Wednesday, July 31, 2013: Hooray for Closet Cleaning!

Still having unseasonable weather...  Seems like it might be changing over this afternoon.  It looked like rain when we headed out to the farmer's market, but by the time we got back to our car it was sunny and starting to get warmer.  Hopefully we can get back to "normal" weather soon.

Cleaned out my closet yesterday.  I have a whole laundry basket full of stuff to donate or take to the consignment shop and a lot more room in the closet!  It was a task I was dreading, but it ended up not taking as long as I thought, and I even found some stuff I had forgotten about!  Hooray!  Today's entire outfit is "forgotten" clothes; some of them are even from my college days or earlier (I went back to school to get my degree in 2002).  Just shocked that I can still get into the jeans!

I wish we could get back to July weather.  It feels rather odd to be wearing fall clothes in July...

Monday, July 29th, 2013

I really thought I was going to regret wearing pants today, but it ended up being much cooler than expected.  I ended up regretting I hadn't grabbed a cardigan or a jacket instead of being too warm!   Monday is always our crazy run around day, so being too warm would have been worse than being cool.

On another note, I'm really excited to have been able to find kale seeds this late in the growing season (they are even organic kale seeds!)  My hubby recently decided he NEEDED a juicer and has been juicing like mad, so we are going through lots of fruits and veggies, and since I prefer to buy organic when I can (especially with something like kale that is on the dirty dozen) I thought it would be better to try growing some of the things in the empty space in our veggie garden.  Now if only I could find space for cucumbers...

Top: Lucy & Laurel; Jeans: Lucky Jeans; Necklaces (top to bottom): My design; Megan Goldkamp; Belt: Nine West; Shoes: Stuart Weitzman.
All items from previous seasons.

Thursday, July 25th, 2013

I have found that having a two year old means that no matter how carefully you plan your day, plans often go awry.  This has an ability to drive any Mommy insane.  On that note, buying dog food and going to the farmer's market were on the agenda again today.  Unfortunately, that means the smaller farmer's market, but oh well.  We have a perfect summer day for it today, with sun and a high around 80.

Today's outfit consists of a white top with a crochet neckline, shorts bought on sale at gap outlet a couple weeks ago, Charles by Charles David Vinta sandals, coral and pearl earrings, coral and pearl necklace (worn as bracelet) and J Crew bracelet.

A cooler day here in Wisconsin, with an expected high in the mid 70s.  In light of this (and not wanting to shave my legs) I have chosen a long navy dress by Pink Rose and a white sweater by Armani Exchange.  A blue and white Coach purse, gold Stewart Weitzman sandals, and some bracelets.  The leather bracelets are souvenirs from a trip to Italy several years ago, and the enamel bracelet was from Banana Republic.  With the exception of the dress (which I bought this summer) everything was already in my closet from previous years.

Big plans for the day include visiting Grandma who arrived from her Florida abode yesterday for a stay*.  Picking up some dog food for the beloved Moose, and hopefully a trip to the farmer's market.

(*Apparently the AC is broken down there and in light of this she would rather be in WI with her family...  At least until Dad decides to return and get the AC fixed, but that probably won't be until September.)

We had Muddy Munchkins this morning at the library and have errands to run this afternoon (hooray for emissions testing!)  Temperatures are in the high 70s today, so shorts or a dress are a must to stay cool.

Top is by Max Studio, shorts from Gap, bag is Arcadia, shoes are Clarks white patent leather flip flops, bracelets from Target (top) and Kate Spade (bottom).  Yes, my bag and shoes match...  No, I don't always do that! ;)
