Long night last night.  We were under a tornado watch most of the day yesterday, but the sirens did not go off until we were reading Babygirl bedtime stories.  We have a crawl space, so we climbed down.  Babygirl hated the crawl space...  I don't blame her, but it is the safest spot!  Fortunately, we fared better than people to the south in Illinois.  My heart goes out to the people there.  There is a lot of tree and other wind damage in our area and definitely some flooding, but we are fortunate.

Besides the lake now present in our backyard, and a leak we discovered in our crawlspace we are in pretty good shape.  I did have some problems driving Babygirl to school this morning because of trees being down, but nothing that wasn't fixed by the time I had to pick her up.  As I said we are fortunate in this area.  Prayers and thoughts to those in northern Illinois.

And I'm back from Florida!  Babygirl keeps telling me it is cold up here!  (I cannot disagree with her...)  Luckily I finished a knitting project while we were travelling to help me stay warm!

Florida was lovely and warm, Babygirl had a great time playing in the ocean and on the beach.  I got a *lovely* splotchy sunburn...  (I should know better than using spray sunscreen on a windy day by now!)  We had lots of fun dying Easter eggs and spending time with the family.

Still, it is good to be home.  We all missed our Moose (he had a great time with the other Grandma and Grandpa while we were gone!), and it is finally looking like the weather is turning spring-like enough to allow things to bloom!  Now, just need to get on with the laundry...
