Escape to Warmer Weather II: Formal and Semi-Formal Outfits
From now on whenever I am at the airport and see someone with "too much" luggage, I am going to just assume they are going on a cruise...
We had a formal night, semi-formal night and a special dinner that required semi-formal attire. Needless to say those meals alone required a lot of clothes!
This is my first experiment posting with polyvore. I'm new to the site and just starting to develop a catalog of some of my items. In some cases the items are not exactly what I own because that item is not to be found online, or (in the case of a lot of my jewelry) is something I personally have made and therefore one of a kind. The shoes and dresses I was able to find online, so those are the actual items I wore.

Escape to Warmer Weather--Vacation Outfits
It is nearly always a good idea to escape the weather and go somewhere warmer this time of year. Several months ago, Hubby's family had invited everyone to join them on a Disney cruise in the Caribbean. Not really being cruise (although we had never been on one) and abhorring the idea of tour (where we have to conform to someone else's schedule while traveling, we weren't so sure about this one.
We ended up having a great time and are planning on taking an Alaska cruise with Disney in 2015! Disney does such a great job of making everyone special and conforming to every whim and need of its guests that I would recommend their cruises to anyone. That being said, I think the Caribbean is probably best experienced on resorts. All of us who had previously been to Caribbean destinations agreed that this was the case. The port towns just aren't as relaxed as you want a "beach" vacation to be, and certainly aimed at extracting as many tourist dollars as possible.
The girls (Babygirl and her two cousins) loved the cruise. They loved the food, dressing up, swimming, on demand Disney movies, and of course the princesses! Babygirl in particular was smitten with Tiana! I was really worried that she wasn't going to recognize the princesses, as we are not TV watchers in our house, she only knows most of them from books. We have now instituted a family movie night once a week to watch a movie or TV show. She loves it!
Here is an selection of some of my daytime outfits; I plan to do a separate post with formal outfits. (Please bear with me on the formal post as it is my first experiment posting with polyvore...)
The warm weather certainly was a welcome change from the polar vortex we were experiencing in Wisconsin, but as always we missed the dog!
