Birthday Party Project
I have been very busy with projects and birthday party plans!  So busy, in fact, that I forgot to post yesterday's outfit, and even almost missed today!  (My house is a total disaster too, BTW...)  I finished this skirt for Babygirl's *Fabulous Fourth Birthday Party* today!  Needless to say, I'm very pleased with my self for not screwing it up!  If you would like to make one, Everyday Reading has a great tutorial.  I would just recommend reading the tutorial ALL the way before starting...  Might have saved me a headache or two...  Headaches (from not reading directions and incorrectly reassembling sewing machine after cleaning) aside, this was pretty easy, even with the *issues*, and my mediocre sewing skills, it only took a couple of hours.  Babygirl is thrilled with it and cannot wait to wear it!

I also am working toward completion of the master bedroom...  Yes, as BFF says, I "decorate very slowly"!  Still, I am happy with how it is coming along.

I still need to pick up a few odds and ends for the Fabulous Fourth Birthday party tomorrow while Babygirl is in school, but it seems to be mostly under control.  I have promised Babygirl a sleepover in Mommy's room tomorrow since Hubby will still be travelling.  I think we will paint our nails, watch a movie and have as much fun as two girls can have...  I'll do decoration and final prep for the party Saturday and Sunday before the party.

Tomorrow promises to be a sad day.  Hubby's horse has not been doing well.  Recent blood work has shown major kidney and liver issues.  (Not surprising, given that he is now 36, which is very old for a horse.)  Tomorrow Babygirl and I will go and say goodbye before the vet comes to guide the "Old Man" (as Hubby calls him) on his final journey.  Since Hubby and I used to show horses together long before we started dating, I have known (and been beaten by!) this horse since I was 12.  Sadly, Hubby is travelling for work, and will not be able to say goodbye, but he supports the decision for his companion to go to greener pastures in peace.  Given his age, and recent health issues, we have all made our peace.  I think the Old Man has chosen his time.  We will miss him.

Ironically, my first horse, Bug, was also put down (also due to complications due to age) on February 13th as well, 14 years ago when Hubby and I had been dating for just nine months.
