I'm really trying very hard to help my cousin with her wedding. She plays with the Marine Corps Band and is stationed overseas, so I understand that it isn't easy for her and that she needs help. Honestly though, I'm about ready to throw in the towel. The invitations have been sitting here for weeks waiting for her to get me a guest list... The original goal was for the invitations to be mailed by the end of May, but I just got the completed guest list yesterday! I know that guest lists are boring and can be difficult, which is why I sent her the list from my wedding, so she really didn't even have to do a full list! Ok, rant over--I'm just very aggravated right now, because she knew it was going to get more difficult for me to do this once it got closer to my vacation... Somehow I'm going to try to get them done before I go though!
Babygirl is finishing up her first full year of preschool this week! We have field trip to the zoo tomorrow. Babygirl is very excited to be able to ride a bus! Riding a bus has been something she has had her sights set on for a while now... Her graduation is also this week on Friday. I really thought there was another week left to school, which was going to be very helpful in packing for vacation, but I'll manage!
Vacation!! So excited to be going on this cruise to Alaska! Just not sure what to pack yet... I have most of my dinner clothes picked out (but I'm still looking for another pair of shoes and maybe another dress if I find something...) but I'm really not sure what to bring for some of the excursions. One of the excursions we are doing (weather permitting) is a helicopter ride to the Mendenhall Glacier and dog sledding on the glacier! I really think I might want a pair of winter boots for that, but I don't think I would otherwise wear them on the trip. Just not sure I want to devote that much luggage space to something I will only wear once.
