I have my first produce from my garden! (I'm always *way* too excited about the first of my produce!) This is the first year I have done cucumbers; I always thought they would take up too much space in my small garden before. This year, inspired by the library program Babygirl participates in (where they only have four small raised beds) and things I have seen on pintrest I put in a cucumber plant and have trellised it. So far I am very happy with the results! It only takes up a few square feet, and it seems to be doing very well. Lesson learned: you can do cucumbers in a small space! Cucumber salad with dinner tonight!
It finally feels like summer. It is really hot today. Rather a shock after the mild weather we were having!
Did some shopping with Babygirl this afternoon. The local Gymboree outlet was having a everything $9.99 and under sale, so we bought a bunch of stuff there: new jammies, swimsuits, dresses and jeans. The J Crew outlet was also having a sale, so Babygirl got new flip flops (they had flowers on them and she fell in love) and I bought a new bracelet and necklace. The bracelet was so prefect that I wore it out of the store--it looked great with my dress!
